Ever wake up and get ready for work and feel like everything is happening just how you want it too? It seems like nothing can go wrong, you are on fire, you're going to kill it today. What does that feel like? How can we get ourselves to repeat it?
Here at Killer Whey, we focus on two things, having fun, and working hard. I am going to give you some pointers on having a productive day, take it or leave it. You might find them simple but I believe there is a lot to be said about the simple things in life.
Wake up at the same time every morning
I know... Easier said than done. This is by far one of the hardest things for people to do, especially if you are a millennial :) The key here is to keep your body in rhythm. If you wake up every day at the same time no matter how late you went to sleep the night before your body will begin to get into a flow and you'll become tired around the same time every night and then you will wake up at the same time every morning. This is the foundation for a productive day.
Eat some breakfast
Your body needs fuel. Most of you who are reading this care about your health in some way shape or form but there is a lot to be said for a healthy breakfast. A well-rounded breakfast eaten at a calm and relaxed pace can absolutely give you the fuel and the mindset you need to start your day.
Go for a midday walk
By midday, most of us are starting to feel a little stressed out no matter how perfect our mornings were. Life can be stressful at times but we need to understand the best ways to manage it. Do you have an hour for lunch? Perfect! Use 15-20 minutes of that to take a walk outside. Exercise releases dopamine into your brain and makes you feel better and helps relax and relieve stressors.
Drink plenty of water
It is pretty simple. Drink water. Water is nature's greatest ingredient and is a mandatory part of our diets. Did you know a glass of water in the morning can actually speed up your metabolism? A pretty simple step that can make a huge difference.
Hint: Is water boring for you? Try it with lemon or cucumber to spruce up the taste.
